Technical Engineering Manager within Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division, Bill Hardy is responsible for design and development of the brand-new C13D/2606 engine platform. With over 18 years at Caterpillar, Bill has had previous roles in advanced combustion research, engine development, including performance, validation, simulation, and certification, product strategy development, engine design, and technical program management. Bill has a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin Engine Research Center, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University.

 Allen Chen

Product Marketing Manager, Caterpillar Industrial Power Systems Division

Product Marketing Manager within Caterpillar’s Industrial Power Systems Division, Allen Chen is responsible for marketing engine platforms within the 9 to 13L displacement range, which includes the brand-new C13D/2606 Engine. With over 10 years at Caterpillar in total, Allen’s previous roles of 6 years were deeply embedded in the overall design of the C13D/2606 Engine, with special focus in Cooling and Lubrication Systems. After receiving an MBA from Bradley University in 2019, Allen leveraged his engineering background along with his newfound understanding of business into a Sales and Marketing role, which started in 2022. Allen’s current position has him focused on providing the right powered solution to OEMs amidst a sustainability-focused world of transitioning energy, whether that means lower-carbon biofuels, alternative fuels, lower-fuel-burning traditional diesel fuels, or no fuel altogether.

 Brett Roberts

Telematics Strategy Manager, Caterpillar Industrial Power Systems Division

Brett Roberts is a Telematics Strategy Manager in the Industrial Power Systems Division. He works with dealers and customers to gather voice of customer around Caterpillar’s current connectivity solutions in an effort to bring about new product and technology innovations to the global marketplace. Brett has an MBA from the University of Georgia and has almost a decade of experience in the off-highway telematics sector. Brett is currently working on exciting new developments within Caterpillar’s quickly evolving telematics strategy in the Industrial Power Systems Division.
